‘Bhootni Ke’ was still rocking the charts with its rustic nuances when highly versatile singer Daler Mehndi delivered yet another explosive soundtrack for Bollywood thriller ‘Hello’. Directed and produced by Atul Agnihotri, the music of the movie was composed by duo Sajid-Wajid. Since the track was Bhangra Pop based, the duo got the true King of Bhangra pop Daler Mehndi to croon Karle Baby Dance wance, who belted out the track in his vociferous, boisterous style.

Mehndi, along with Sunidhi Chauhan, definitely brought unlimited masti, fun, dance and dhamaal on the floors with ‘Karle Baby Dance Wance’.

Om Zaarare from movie Kuselan Song By Daler Mehndi

There is definitely no stopping Mehndi! After creating waves with his debut in South Indian films with ‘Rubber Gaajulu‘ in ‘Yamadonga’, Rajnikanth, the south Indian Super Star roped in the Pop King to sing for his mega opus ‘Kuselan’.

The Telugu film industry had had a big Daler Mehndi super hit the previous year and the music director wanted to use Daler who would debut in the Tamil Industry with ‘Om Zaarare’.

Music Director G.V Prakash made Daler sing in Tamil and Telugu for the same film and both G.V Prakash and Rajnikanth were extremely impressed with their choice of getting Daler Mehndi to sing for this bi-lingual track.

The track created great noise and the audiences loved it.

“Even when I had not sung in Tamil or Telugu, fans loved me. Though they could not make out head or tail of what I was singing in Punjabi – still fans across South India have always showered me with immense love. The King of Bollywood Comedy Govinda was returning to the silver screen with ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’ after a gap of one year! Choreographer turned Director Ganesh Acharya, the man whose dance moves has made many a Govinda dance numbers popular amongst masses, was too keen to have Daler Mehndi’s vocal in the soundtrack ‘Rangeeli Raat’.

Maya Bazar from moive Ghatothkach Song By Daler Mehndi

After the delightful success of ‘Bal Ganesha’, Shemaroo films were all set to release another animated flick, and wanted to rope in Bhangra King Daler Mehndi. Mehndi who had successfully delivered music for another animation ‘Return of Hanuman’ crooned an iconic musical score for ‘Ghatothkach’.

Penned by lyricist Sameer, boisterously paced Daler Mehndi’s vocals in extremely foot tapping yet playful ‘Mayabazaar’ played a vital role in the animated movie to animate audiences’ imagination.

“Lending voice to an animation project is amongst the best things that have occurred to me. It is challenging and very different from dubbing a normal song, & required conveying a lot of emotion through the song, But I thoroughly enjoyed recording the song. It’s another pleasure to watch children delightfully enjoy the mythological characters with music affects!” – Daler Mehndi

The movie was released in seven different languages. Other than Hindi, Mehndi crooned the Tamil version of the song too!
